Building upon their involvement in area youth-focused organizations for several decades, The LIGHT Foundation was created with the unique purpose of collaborating with other non-profit entities with like-minded missions as well as producing programs and advantages for youth, particularly with special needs.

He has obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in judgments and settlements in subrogation and other plaintiff cases. He has also successfully defended civil claims and lawsuits in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Especially well-known for his appellate skills, Mr. Cockerham received the “David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award” from the Missouri Bar Foundation in recognition of his outstanding achievement in appellate practice.

A Career Of Public Service And Teaching
Prior to his private practice, Bob served as a staff attorney for the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. He has lectured on various legal topics, including insurance litigation, subrogation techniques, as well as trial and appellate issues. In addition, he has authored numerous publications, articles, and a treatise on insurance law. He has served as a contributing author and keynote speaker for the Property Loss Research Bureau Claims Conferences, the National Association of Subrogation Professionals, the National Society of Insurance Investigators, the International Association of Arson Investigators, the National Business Institute, Inc., and the Annual Symposium on Property Insurance Law and Claims Adjustment.
Bob is the recipient of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators’ President’s Award and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators’ Outstanding Achievement Award. He has also been selected for inclusion in Missouri Super Lawyers many times since 2005 and annually since 2014.
Bob and his loving and beautiful wife Stacy are the proud parents of seven wonderful and brilliant children and three grandchildren. The family is active and committed to various charitable organizations. Bob was elected unanimously by leaders throughout the world to serve as the Chairman of the Board of DeMolay International 2009-2010. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Benevolence and Fraternal Assistance Committee for the Scottish Rite of the Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Maryville University.
